What do we need coconut milk for?
Everyone has probably heard of coconut milk, but few people know what they can use it for.
Asian cuisine cannot do without coconut milk. However, it is gaining more and more recognition in Poland as well.
A few words about coconut milk
Coconut milk contains 15-25 percent fat. It is produced by pouring hot water over the flesh or crushed copra and pressing it through a gauze. This produces a white, fragrant and milk-like liquid. In Poland coke-milk is sold in tin or in a carton. Coke-milk is very healthy and has a number of medicinal properties. First of all, it contains lauric acid, which has strong antiviral, antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It also contains numerous vitamins and minerals such as iron, selenium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, fibre and protein. For this reason, it will be perfect as an isotonic drink after training.
Consuming milk strengthens immunity, has a positive effect on the condition of the skin, slows down the aging process, regulates digestion, helps to lower the fever, helps in asthma, is recommended for people who cannot consume lactose.
Coconut milk should be velvety and white, however, stored in the fridge the milk becomes stale and when the can is opened instead of the liquid, the mass is formed. However, such a mass is useful for certain provisions. However, if you want to restore the liquid form of the milk, just put the can into hot water for about 15 minutes.
We can buy coke-milk at the store. If you want to make them yourself, just pour warm water over coconut shavings and put them in the fridge for a few hours. Let the chips soften and swell, then put them in the blender, add water again and mix thoroughly. We pour the mass created in this way through the gauze to get rid of the unmixed pieces.
Why do we need coconut milk?
Milk can be used to cook lamb or oatmeal, replacing cow's milk with cow's milk. Coconut milk is ideal for cocktails and smoothies. It also emphasizes the taste of soup-cream, allows it to thicken and gives it an original taste, it will perfectly compose with tomato soup, or as an addition to lentil soup. With coconut milk we can boldly replace the cream for whitening coffee, which additionally will gain the depth of paradise tropical fruit. It will also work well as a base for sauces with the addition of oriental spices. Interestingly, coconut milk will also help in acne skin hygiene, it should be added to the bath or applied to the face.
