What is antipasti?
The word "antipasti" has been heard many times and it also often appears on the menu of many restaurants. What's that word for? Simply put, antipasti are Italian appetizers served before the main meal, which are very popular there. Antipasti is not very filling because it's supposed to whet your appetite. These attachments may consist of one or more components. What kind of snacks? Like caprese salad, carpaccio or bruschetta. That's where the Italians start their feasting. The appetisers are served in small portions. Antipistas are usually made up of dried tomatoes, mozzarella, cocktail tomatoes, olives, basil, olive oil with herbs and Parma ham.
The most famous Italian antipasti is:
Instala caprese - a salad of fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil.
Carpaccio - an appetizer of beef tenderloin, parmesan cheese and rocket.
Bruschetty - toasts with different stuffing, cocktail tomatoes, mozzarella, tuna and olives. This snack is often ordered in Italian restaurants and is strongly associated with the Mediterranean Sea. It's also a great idea for breakfast for two. They are characterized by a simple but intense taste.

Olives in herbs - prepared on the basis of olives and various herbs, basil, oregano, thyme.

The menu of Italian cuisine is largely based on olive oil, because the Italians fry dishes on it, but also marinate them, sprinkle them with vegetables, salads or pasta. She is also a guest in antipasti, though usually in the company of balsamic vinegar. Antipasti puts emphasis on diversity, flavours, colours and consistency. Italian appetizers also include crispy lettuces, red and yellow peppers, black and green olives, and numerous cheeses ranging from gorgonzola and mozzarella to mascarpone and Parmesan cheese. Let's not forget about seafood, cold cuts, shrimps and Parma ham. Grapes, apricots and nuts with honey are also very popular.
How to prepare antipasti?
Usually it is enough to cut tomatoes or cheese into smaller pieces and spread them on boards or on decorative trays. And the bread and the bread are ready! Let's not forget about the leaves of basil to taste.
