- cough - at the beginning it can be dry and at the end of the disease it can become wet.

The highest intensity of symptoms occurs 3-4 days after infection. However, they should not last longer than 7-10 days.
How to avoid a cold?
Even when accompanied by sick people, it is possible to effectively reduce the risk of infection transmission. Everything depends on the state of our protective barriers, i.e. the immune system. Therefore, in order to reduce the risk of illness, it is necessary to:
- take care of proper air humidification in the bedroom - a damp towel on a radiator is a good method;
- support the immune system - vitamin C, garlic, onion, etc. is suitable for this purpose;
- eat healthily - an appropriate diet rich in vitamins and trace elements significantly reduces the risk of infection;
- avoid stimulants - alcohol, cigarettes adversely affect the body's protective barriers;
- exercise - moderate exercise on average 3 times a week will be appropriate. Remember that overtraining and intensive exercise increase the risk of illness;
- Wash and disinfect hands - at least several times a day, each time washing hands thoroughly for about a minute;
- avoid, as far as possible, contact with the sick - the more viruses in our environment, the greater the chance to break down the protective barriers of our body.

The answer to this question is not easy, because a cold can be caused by 200 different viruses. Therefore, there is no targeted treatment and methods are used to support the immune system to facilitate the fight against the virus.

- garlic - it contains substances with antiviral effect and supporting the process of colds treatment. It can be used raw or in warm milk;
- onion - also contains many substances supporting the fight against the virus. It's best to make a homemade onion syrup;
- rest - sleep and lying in bed allows the body to save energy, which is used to fight the disease;
- inhalations - hot water in a bowl with the addition of essential oils (mint, chamomile, eucalyptus) has a beneficial effect on the patency of the airways and on the moisturization of the mucous membrane;
- drinking large amounts of water - has a beneficial effect on the moisturization of the throat;
- drinking herbal teas - camomile has an expectorant effect and lime protects the mucous membrane of the throat.
