What kind of coffee machine should I choose?
The market offer for household appliances is extremely wide. We are talking about both large appliances, which include refrigerators and so-called small household appliances. Coffee machines in several varieties seem to be particularly popular.
They differ in terms of construction, mode of operation and price. All this makes the selection of the best model a lot of trouble. Therefore, we decided to briefly describe each type and to indicate all their strengths and weaknesses.
Transfer Express Machines
These are the most basic devices available on the market, so they are characterized by the lowest price. The basic element of the coffee machine is a special cooktop which heats the water. It is also necessary to replace the jug or thermos to which the finished coffee goes, the container for coffee and the filter, which occurs in the form of a disposable (paper) and reusable.
Due to the limited number of elements and easy handling, transfer expresses are the cheapest available on the market. Their advantage is the fact that a large coffee container allows you to brew a few cups of coffee.
The disadvantages are quite obvious, because they result from a certain limitation of the devices in question. It is difficult to use them to prepare various types of coffee, for that you still need to replace or clean the filters.
Pressurized coffee machines
These are some of the most popular devices. As the name suggests, they use high pressure at work to make coffee quickly. This is then passed on via a pump to the end of the cup.
When you decide to buy a pressure machine, it is worth checking its equipment. A good quality machine should have a grate for dripping coffee, a milk frother and various types of overheating protection. There are also models on the market equipped with an additional coffee bean grinder and double jets, thanks to which we will be able to prepare two coffees at the same time.
Among the advantages of these coffee machines are the above mentioned additional functions, thanks to which we can also prepare various types of coffee. In this respect, they are much more complex devices than overflow models. It should also be mentioned that a high-pressure coffee machine ensures a better taste and a healthier coffee.
Espresso machines are divided into three types. We can replace manual models equipped with a special sieve into which we pour coffee, low-pressure devices (cafes) and the most advanced automatic machines. Sam measures the right amount of coffee and water to make the best drink. The disadvantage of such devices is of course their high price - they can cost several hundred or several thousand zlotys.
This is a specific type of automatic equipment. This type of coffee maker, as the name suggests, makes coffee from a capsule, which contains a specific beverage - coffee with milk, espresso, latte, etc. All this makes it very easy to use it. Simply insert the capsule into the coffee machine and turn on the coffee machine.
Simplicity of use is the biggest advantage of this type of machine. They also give us the possibility to prepare many kinds of coffee, and they are relatively cheap. On the defects side, however, the price of the capsules should be recorded, which increase the overall cost of one cup. In most cases, it happens that we can only use capsules prepared by the machine manufacturer, which of course limits our possibilities.
Regardless of what kind of coffee machine we decide to use, we should remember that each device of this type is distinguished by several most important parameters. These include the power to indicate how quickly coffee can be brewed, the pressure generated (in the case of pressure models), the size of the containers and a number of additional functions that extend the coffee machine's capabilities or protect it against possible breakdowns.
