What is the characteristic feature of oily skin?
Excessive keratosis is one of the features that distinguish oily skin in the foreground. However, the problem is also intensified seborrhoea, enlarged pores, blackheads and frequent inflammations accompanied by purulent lesions. Mixed skin, on the other hand, tends to become oily only with regard to Zone T, which includes the nose, forehead and chin. The problem of oily skin does not concern only the face, because it also appears on the back, and sometimes also on the shoulders, and even on the chest. Oily skin is also characterized by unevenness and unhealthy, grey or grey-yellow tinge.
Although it still shines, it is not the only visible feature of it, as it can also be a capillary complexion. Most often we identify it with a problem that is characteristic for teenagers, but it should be remembered that it does not always give way in adulthood. Of course, oily skin, despite its numerous disadvantages, also has certain advantages. It is worth mentioning here that slower aging, is less sensitive to harmful external factors, and thus more resistant to the appearance of wrinkles. Of course, it is not possible to maintain it in a state close to ideal without proper care.
The importance of mineral cosmetics for oily skin
Care of oily skin should include not only proper cleansing, but also moisturizing and exfoliating. Already for this reason dangerous are gels with an excessively astringent action, the consequence of their use can be an extremely powerful seborrhoea. Therefore, mineral cosmetics known to be free of alcohol, parabens and irritant detergents are considered an ideal solution. It is worth investing in natural soaps, but foams and gels can also be helpful. The task of mineral cosmetics of this kind is primarily to cleanse the skin of excess sebum, toxins and impurities, but it is worth trusting them also because they tighten pores, have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and allow for better healing of acne traces.
The importance of toning in oily skin
Even after cleansing the face, the application of tonic brings very good results, because it can support the process of recovery of the correct pH by the skin. The tonic is highly valued primarily because it limits the greasy skin and prevents it from drying out after washing, which is a particularly common problem. However, not every solution is as effective, so make sure that the tonic composition is natural and short with substances such as rose, apple or kiwi extract, lemon peel oils or tea tree oils. If the tonic does not suit you, you can replace it with rose water or hydrolat, the latter can be prepared by yourself using a coffee maker to brew coffee, water, herbs, flower petals or lemon peel (cooking should not take longer than four minutes).
