Warm women's sweaters are a must for every woman's wardrobe. Thanks to them, no cold evening or rainy day will be scary. But how do you find a perfect sweater that feels nice to the touch and provides cozy warmth? The base is the fabric the sweaters are made of. Learn more about this in order to skillfully choose clothes that combine the highest quality and comfort when worn.
Wool
When thinking about warm sweaters, most people first associate them with wool - warm and thick. However, you should be aware that clothes made of 100% wool are slightly rough and "biting" to the touch. Nevertheless, woolen sweaters are a great choice, because this natural material provides thermal comfort even on the coldest days. Wool is most often obtained from sheep's hair. Very popular is the one that comes from the merino (one of the breeds of sheep). Its greatest advantages are: lightness, softness and breathability. What's more, you can wear merino wool sweaters even in summer, because it cools on warm days and heats on cold days.
Cotton
Cottoning of sweaters is characterized by greater lightness than those that are 100% woollen. However, they do not provide so much warmth, but they are very soft and pleasant to the touch. They can be worn successfully even in warmer seasons, e.g. on summer evenings. Cotton is a natural fibre and is derived from plants of the same name.
Moher
This is another very popular material for sweaters. Moher is a type of wool that comes from the hair of Angora goats, and its characteristics are: natural consistency, fluffiness, gloss and lightness. It belongs to very delicate and extremely pleasant to the touch fabrics, which ensure warmth.
Angora
Like mohair, angora is a kind of very light and fine wool, and is obtained from angora rabbits. A great advantage of angora is its anti-allergic properties, so it can be worn safely by all people who are allergic to most of the wool.
Acrylic
This synthetic material is notorious for its fast-destructing and low-temperature sweaters. Acrylic only looks like wool, and only at the beginning. Unfortunately, it is enough to wear it several times to make it look unsightly and stretched. The only advantage of acrylic sweaters is their low price.
Kashmir
Cashmere women's sweaters are desired by all women who appreciate the highest quality and best style. It is a type of wool that is obtained from Kashmiri goats, and among other materials it is distinguished by its high price. However, in this case the cost is justified by the quality. Cashmere sweaters are warm, extremely fluffy, light and very pleasant to the touch. Plus, they look beautiful.
Alpaca
This not very popular type of natural fibre used for women's sweaters is noteworthy. It is obtained from the hair of Peruvian lamas - alpacas, and what distinguishes it is lightness, delicate shine and high durability. Such sweaters also have hypoallergenic properties, so they are a great choice for allergy sufferers.
